Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics from Don Bosco Technological Institute.
Obtained accredited certifications in OHS (Certificate IV) and Training and Assessment (Certificate IV). Certificate IV in OHS obtained from Harness PNG Limited. He is recognized by the PNG National Training Council as an Instructor, Trainer, Senior Trainer, and Master Trainer.
Three years Board Member to the National Apprenticeship & Trade Testing Board and with over a decade of experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) within the mining sector, he has worked for Simberi, MMJV, Newcrest, and OTML. Joe brings extensive experience in teaching and training garnered from his roles in both the mining and automotive sectors. This background equips him with a diverse skill set and deep understanding of instructional methodologies tailored to the unique demands of these industries.
Kidu holds a Diploma in Commerce Management from Papua New Guinea University of Technology (UNITECH) and a Bachelor in Management from Divine Word University, Port Moresby Campus. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) having passed all his CPA exams and obtaining the accreditation from CPAPNG, of which CPAPNG is a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
With 25 years of professional experience, including 23 years in auditing (primarily tax and internal audits) and 2 initial years in accounting, Kidu has worked for major companies such as Brian Bell Ltd, Air Niugini Ltd, NGIP Agmark Ltd, PNG Microfinance Ltd, and the Internal Revenue Commission. As a Senior Project Auditor, he conducted audits across various industries, including mining, wholesale and retail, forestry, aviation, agriculture, and insurance. He spent 7 years managing internal audits at NGIP Agmark Ltd and PNG Microfinance Ltd.
